I must say that the Smartboard system is a great tool for teaching. To see it being used in our class was a welcome site. Ever since starting this masters program, I have wanted to have one in my room more and more. Students really react to them and behave just to touch the screen and reveal answers. It is also a great tool for every subject matter that we teach in schools. I want one badly!
There are so many new websites out there that I have trouble keeping track of them all. That is why I really need my delicious account. I started one about six months ago and use it all the time now. I used it to keep track of the websites I want to save from our last course as well. I also subscribe to teacherweb and my website has a links page which is filling up fast. I was very thankful that we went over the delicious site and I was able to add Thinkfinity.
The most valuable resource from class was Thinkfinity. Not only did it provide great lessons, there was a shortcut to standards which were easy to access. There are also interactive lessons which I can link to my links page. The lesson planner was also easy to use. Since I have only been to the site a few times, I know I have a lot to learn about how to use and navigate the site but I can tell that it is a keeper.

The more that I use the interactive whiteboard with students, the more potential I see with the tool. Students really respond positively to its use, and the software allows for many strategies within a lesson. It is also an electronic tool that has been around since the early 90s, so I feel that it has been established.
Hey Ryan,
I wish TJMS would get some more Smart Boards too. I am sure I will be one of the last people to get one...but oh well! I thought it was a great tool as well. The delicious account is nice, I just have to remember to go use it! As far as Thinkfinity, I am glad to hear it worked well for you. I did not find it quite as useful, but I think that is because my subject area is not as common?

I haven't yet utilized my delicious account - you have inspired me. ;)
I enjoy using the Smart Board as well. It definitely helps with showing how to do something with the class (demonstation.) As for Thinkfinity, I like it, but I find too many sites that just have print outs instead of interactives. I like Thinkfinity, but I think there's room for improvement. How do you feel about it?
I as well would love to have a smartboard. We have two in my school. One is in the library and the other is in a dell interactive classroom. I do not take full advantage of the board. I also do like the Thinkfinity website. I have introduced it to my kids and they like it too.
